Hi, my name is Maria Powell and I am looking forward to being
your new Pilates Instructor. I am a Florida native and have
lived in the Pinellas County area all my life. I have been married
twenty two years to my wonderful husband and we have two
children a son twenty two years old and a daughter who is
eighteen years old. Both are attending college and pursuing
careers in the medical field. I have practiced healthy living my
whole life and have been a member of Gold’s Gym since 1993. I
was introduced to Pilates there and have been taking it for the
past five years; I received my instructor certification in Pilates in
2005. I have never felt as compassionate about a fitness
regiment as this. I have worked with weights and many other
fitness exercises until I found Pilates; I was so amazed at the
transformation of my body in as little as ten sessions. I hope you
will give me the chance to share with you my love of this
wonderful exercise they call Pilates.
